Now one email forward that is authentic !!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsM3KEqNyeY

Never believed all the cola + mentos explosion forwards until I watched this particular episode of Time Warp on Discovery Channel :O Now that is scary....

Should there not be a disclaimer or something of that sort? Either on Mentos or the aerated drinks?

PS: The forwards were not entirely right. Coca Cola was projected as the culprit when in fact all aerated drinks yield the same result.. sensationalizing is it???

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

I was intrigued by this sonnet, thanks to "Sense and Sensibility" movie and got around to googling its entire content.. and here it is..

I did notice that shakespeare has a thing for rosy cheeks.. This I say from the few snatches of shakespearean verses that I come across at times..
But, you need to understand Mr. Shakespeare, that "rosy" cheeks are not the only ones that come under time's binding sickle.. There are all kinds of cheeks and non-cheeks and mere cheekbones too that fall under the compass' range :)

Magic Hats and the Rabbits...

Ahh.. after a really long time.. How I wish I really had nothing to say and how I wish it was not inhibition that prevented me from posting...

Well.. a lot has been happening lately.. not just in my life, but in the life of others surrounding me too..

Although the events happening in each of our lives are as unique and distinct as the lines on our palms, there is a common concept that has come to play in each scenario.

"Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

The famous lines from Forrest Gump.. yeah.. Little did we know that it is so true..

When the magician pulled the same old rabbit from his hat, we were thrilled, and clapped in awe.. But, when the real magician pulls something that is definitely not the mundane rabbit, one that is sure to surprise us every time, one that beats all our prediction forecasts, why are we not genuinely amazed? We instead greet it with apprehension.. Even in cases where it is something good, we need time to adapt and adopt to the change.. change do we call it? what happened to the surprise rabbit.. now it has got a new duller word.. "change"...

We pay to surprise ourselves.. To get the adrenalin rush at a theme park or at a magic show.. But, when we are surprised and lent that adrenalin rush for free by god, we recoil :)

Maybe, adrenalin rush is like this cruise liner that is too luxurious and impractical for daily commute.. Maybe we need to pay once in a while for that little rush and cant afford it everyday..
so what do we do? Maybe learn to be master the tendency for surprises? That way will it be a smooth road with scenic view to savour ? Is that was is meant by the verses in Gita

The one who remains the same towards friend or foe, in honor or disgrace, in heat or cold, in pleasure or pain; who is free from attachment; who is indifferent to censure or praise, quiet, content with whatever one has, unattached to a place (a country, or a house), calm, and full of devotion ---that person is dear to Me. (12.18-19)
